Turbidity Meters

Turbidity is a measure of the degree to which the water loses its transparency due to the presence of suspended particulates (such as silt, algae, plankton, and sewage). What is noteworthy is that turbidity is a measure of clarity of a sample, rather than the measure of the amount of dissolved or suspended solids within a sample. The more total suspended solids in the water, the murkier it seems and the higher the turbidity. Turbidity is a great indicator of water quality, whether that be regarding the quality of drinking water or the quality of aquatic environments.
