DescriptionGiemsa stain is a neutral stain made up of a mixture of oxidized Methylene blue, Azure, and Eosin Y. It is a nucleic acid stain used in cytogenetics and for the histopathological diagnosis of Malaria, spirochetes and other blood parasites. It is also used to visualize chromosomes and to identify mast cells.
