Genetically modified organism (GMO) standards belong to the biological standard, which has one or more uniform and determined characteristics of the related values. GMO standards are used in transgenic detection to calibrate measuring devices and evaluate measurement methods. GMO standards can be divided into matrix standards and DNA standards.
DNA standards include plasmid DNA standards, genomic DNA standards and amplicon DNA standards. In addition, genetically GMO standards are necessities in today's new analysis methods, such as nucleic acid sequence-based amplification, hyper-branched rolling cycle amplification (HRCA), pyro-sequencing, high-throughput sequencing, capillary electrophoresis (CE), high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) and near infrared spectroscopy (NIS).
